Flax Seed Oil
Flaxseeds, also called linseeds, are rich in essential fatty acids, particularly the beneficial type known as omega-3. These fatty acids work throughout the body to protect cell membranes. Flaxseed and its derivative flaxseed oil/linseed oil are rich sources of the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid, which is a biologic precursor to omega-3 fatty acids such as eicosapentaenoic acid. Flax seed oil contains ALA fatty acids and while fairly effective they are no match for the power of the two mains ones, DHA and EPA.

Folic Acid
Folic Acid is water soluble B-9 that has been shown to help prevent serious birth defects of the brain and spine (neural defects) when taken daily prior to conception and in early weeks of pregnancy. Folic Acid is also needed for production of red blood cells, as well as norephinephrine and serotonin, chemical components of the nervous system. It helps synthesize DNA and normalize brain function, and is a critical part of spinal fluid.
